Elena Weaver (She/Her)

MA, LPC, NCC

Life can often present us with experiences and seasons that make us feel so stuck and overwhelmed. Perhaps what used to help us in these seasons no longer serves us; perhaps we’ve simply become exhausted and hopeless with ourselves or the people around us. It is my desire that our work together will feel different- strengthened by curiosity, awareness, challenge, and compassion, you can be empowered to move through and hold lifes’ complexities. You deserve peace and relief.

Approach

I hold a BA in Psychology and Philosophy, an MA in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University, and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Kansas. Because there are so many reasons to seek therapy, I hold an eclectic approach to counseling. My professional values include trust, honesty, authenticity, autonomy, and empathy. I appreciate working from a family systems, somatic, and attachment-focused lens, but also draw greatly from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the psychodynamic perspective. I have a lot of passion for working with multicultural issues, individuals with complex or traumatic relationships with their parents/families, spirituality/spiritual issues, and perfectionism.

“What I am looking for is not out there, it is in me.”

— Hellen Keller
